Assessment
Your work at the University may be assessed in a number of ways:
Often the assessment of a module will be a mixture of two or more types; it may be of several parts - e.g. two short coursework essays and a two-hour examination. Be aware of the assessment requirement of all the modules you are taking. There may be a choice and it is very important that you complete all the required parts of the assessment.
Many modules require all assessment components to be passed. At the beginning of each module you should ensure that you have a written statement of the assessment requirements from the module tutor, in the module guide or subject handbook. Some modules have specific attendance requirements, which may be 100 percent in some cases, and are necessary to complete the module.
