Money, Welfare and International Advice Service (MWIAS)

What does the MWIAS do?

The Money, Welfare and International Advice Service (MWIAS) is here to help you deal with any financial, practical or legal difficulties - from health and housing problems, to parenting and personal safety issues - that may arise while you are studying at Middlesex.

Advisers are available for private consultation and offer personalised advice to students, to accommodate for your distinct needs. They are based on all the main campuses in the Student Support Areas and provide a service which is non-judgemental and strictly confidential, which means we will not discuss any of the details of your visit unless you give us permission to do so.

The MWIAS also run workshops which are relevant to specific groups of students, for example 'Finance for Lone Parents'. Look out for posters advertising what's coming on your campus.

In addition to this, the MWIAS produces information leaflets which cover key areas relevant to students. These are called 'Rough Cuts' and can be downloaded in PDF format below. If we can't help you, rest assured we will point you in the right direction.

The MWIAS hopes that you find your stay here at Middlesex satisfying and enjoyable. From time to time, however, problems may arise. We have done our best to cover many of the practical issues in our Rough Cuts guide (see above), but realise that there are other, possibly more personal issues that you might like further information on.
