There is always something of interest going on at Middlesex - from lectures and seminars to exhibitions, performances, trips away and other fun social outings. We open our doors as much as possible to anyone who might enjoy or benefit.

BUCS Women’s Right to Play

BUCS London will be celebrating International Women’s Day by holding a sports festival on Wednesday 24 February. The event is hosted by Kings College Students Union and is open to all female students in London.
The aim of the day is to give women the opportunity to get active, but also to raise awareness that sport and play are powerful tools in challenging inequality and in empowering young girls and young women.
there are loads of sports you can get involved in on the day, along with dance mats, table tennis and an evening roller disco.

6 New Sports on Offer!

We are offering six exciting new sports for you to come and try. Sessions are open to all even if you have no previous experience.
Sports include American Football, Rugby League, Wrestling, Boxing, Judo, Handball.

15th ANNUAL LITERARY FESTIVAL PLUS CHANCE TO SAMPLE STUDENT FILM, PHOTOGRAPHS AND POETRY!

Trent Park campus

Two days of diverse readings, events, panel discussions and workshops, with the opportunity to hear from some of today’s foremost writers. Middlesex’s own current young talents also have a chance to share their work at student readings, short film screenings and a photographic exhibition. The Literary Festival is arranged and run by students on Middlesex's BA degree in Creative and Media Writing at the School of Arts and Education.

Highlights include:
-       acclaimed freelance writer Justin Shevlin who opens the Festival with a virtual, concept-based Anti Writer’s Block Workshop

-        writer panels on Children’s Fiction, Historical Fiction and an exploration of the Horror Fiction genre

-       Playwright Robert Holman, Headline Speaker and author of more than 15 plays including the trilogy Making Noise Quietly, who talks about his varied experience, working with the BBC as well as having his plays produced at prestigious theatres such as the Bush and the Royal Court

-       a focus on journalistic methods and motives with Guardian columnists Tim Dowling and Lucy Mangan

-       a poetry panel including readings from prominent talents Laura Dockrill, Lizzy Dijeh and Clive Bush.
 Attendance at all panel sessions, readings, talks and workshops is free of charge.
